Our Crispen De Passe matted prints were directly scanned from hand colored antique copperplate engravings from, Hortus Floridus printed in 1614-1618. Each print is conservation matted in an bevel cut 4 ply ivory mat with black core and archival backing board. Matted print size is 11 x 14 inches, image area is 5.75 x 8.75 inches. The depth of the mat and backing board is 1/4 inch. Print is ready for framing in a standard size frame, you will want to insure that the inside depth of the selected frame will accomodate the glass/plexiglass as well as the mat and backing.
